Andre Norton, nata come Alice Mary Norton nel 1912, è stata un'autrice americana di rilievo nota per i suoi contributi ai generi di fantascienza e fantasy. Ha essere una scrittrice prolifica che ha utilizzato vari nomi di penna, tra cui Andrew North e Allen Weston, con il suo nome d'arte di Andre Norton diventato ampiamente riconosciuto.
La passione di Norton per la scrittura è iniziata durante gli anni del liceo, ispirata da un insegnante di scuola superiore affascinante.
