Beverly Cleary è stata un'autrice americana molto celebrata, nota principalmente per i suoi libri di fiction per bambini e giovani adulti. È nata come Beverly Atlee Bunn a McMinnville, Oregon, il 12 aprile 1916, e in seguito si è trasferita a Portland, Oregon, dove ha trascorso la maggior parte della sua infanzia.
