Charlie Higson è un autore affermato, attore, comico e scrittore per televisione e radio, nato a Somerset, in Inghilterra, nel 1958. È stato educato alla Sevenoaks School e in seguito all'Università dell'Anglia orientale, dove ha conosciuto Paul Whitehouse, David Cummings e Terry Edwards. Higson, Cummings e Edwards hanno formato la band The Higsons, con Higson come cantante dal 1980 al 1986. Successivamente, Higson è diventato un intonacatore prima di dedicarsi alla scrittura per Harry Enfield con Paul Whitehouse e alla commedia. Ha guadagnato notorietà come uno dei principali scrittori e interpreti del programma televisivo satirico BBC Two The Fast Show (1994-2000). Higson ha anche lavorato come produttore, scrittore, regista e occasionalmente come guest star in Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) ed è apparso in QI e Tittybangbang.
Oltre al suo lavoro in televisione, Higson è un autore di successo in vari generi, che si rivolgono sia agli adulti che ai giovani adulti.
