Chuck Hogan è un autore americano molto affermato, noto principalmente per i suoi thriller criminali e horror. Ha scritto numerosi libri pluripremiati, tra cui "The Strain Trilogy", co-firmato con Guillermo del Toro. La trilogia è stata adattata in una serie televisiva di successo sulla FX.
Il romanzo di Hogan "Prince of Thieves", pubblicato nel 2004, ha ricevuto importanti consensi critici ed è stato adattato nel film "The Town" nel 2010. Il film, diretto da Ben Affleck, ha ricevuto recensioni entusiastiche ed è stato nominato per diversi premi Oscar. Il romanzo stesso è stato nominato uno dei migliori libri dell'anno da Stephen King ed ha vinto il premio Hammett 2005 per l'eccellenza nella scrittura di gialli.
Oltre a "The Strain Trilogy" e "Prince of Thieves", Hogan ha scritto diversi altri romanzi di successo, tra cui "The Killing Moon" e "Devils in Exile". Il suo lavoro è apparso in "The Best American Mystery Stories 2009" e ha vinto numerosi premi per la sua scrittura.
Hogan risiede a Boston, dove vive con la sua famiglia. Nel suo tempo libero, gli piace suonare il karaoke con il suo figlio e ascoltare "All Star" degli Smash Mouth. È un autore bestseller del New York Times e continua a essere un contributore di spicco per i generi thriller e horror.
