Danni Roan, nata e cresciuta nella campagna occidentale della Pennsylvania, ha sempre nutrito un profondo apprezzamento per la vita di campagna. Questa passione per la campagna si riflette nel suo lavoro, specializzandosi in fiction storica che trasporta i lettori in un'altra epoca e luogo. I primi lavori pubblicati di Roan erano una collezione di saggi folk sulla sua infanzia nelle verdi montagne della Pennsylvania, che ha pubblicato sotto il suo vero nome, Paula Liddle-Beem.
Oltre alla sua esperienza nella scrittura di saggi, Roan è anche una insegnante esperta, avendo insegnato inglese e inglese come seconda lingua per gli ultimi dodici anni. Ha scritto due serie romance western, The Cattleman’s Daughters e Tales from Biders Clump, nonché diversi romanzi indipendenti nel gruppo Strong Hearts: Open Spirits. Roan ha anche partecipato a diversi progetti multi-autore, tra cui Whispers in Wyoming, una serie romantica western contemporanea cristiana e la molto attesa serie Alphabet Mail-Order Brides.
Oltre alla sua scrittura, Roan è anche una viaggiatrice appassionata. Lei e suo marito vivono in un camper di 36 piedi da diversi anni, girando per gli Stati Uniti e aggiungendo nuova profondità alle impostazioni e al dramma dei suoi libri.
