Eugene H. Peterson fu un autore americano molto rispettato nel campo della religione e della spiritualità, noto per i suoi numerosi scritti sulla fede e la spiritualità. Nacque a Stanwood, Washington, e crebbe a Kalispell, Montana. Peterson perseguì un'educazione superiore alla Seattle Pacific University, dove conseguì una laurea in filosofia.
