Harry Turtledove è un autore americano molto prolifico e di successo, noto principalmente per i suoi lavori nei generi della storia alternativa, fiction storica, fantasy e science fiction. Ha pubblicato numerose serie, tra cui Southern Victory, Worldwar, Crosstime Traffic e molte altre. A Turtledove è stato dato il soprannome di "Il Maestro della Storia Alternativa" per la sua capacità straordinaria di creare scenari alternativi coinvolgenti e fornire prospettive fresche sugli eventi storici.
Turtledove è nato il 14 giugno 1949 a Los Angeles, in California, ed è cresciuto vicino a Gardena.
