Kate Kingsbury è lo pseudonimo dell'autrice britannica Doreen Roberts Hight, nota per i suoi romanzi di mistero "cozy". Scrive anche mysteries con i nomi Rebecca Kent e Allison Kingsley, e romanzi rosa con il suo vero nome, Doreen Roberts. Nata a Londra, Inghilterra, durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, Kingsbury ha trascorso gran parte della sua infanzia in rifugi antiaerei e scuole, sviluppando le sue abilità narrative per confortare le persone intorno a lei.
