Michael Avallone

Michael Angelo Avallone Jr., noto maggiormente come Michael Avallone, è un prolifico autore americano specializzato in fiction di mistero e spionaggio, nonché in novelizzazioni di film e telefilm. Nato a New York City, è diventato un autore celebrato con una vasta produzione di opere. Nel corso della sua carriera, Avallone afferma di aver scritto oltre 1.000 lavori, tra cui romanzi, racconti e articoli, tutti pubblicati sotto il suo vero nome o uno dei suoi numerosi pseudonimi.

Il suo primo romanzo, "The Tall Dolores", è stato pubblicato nel 1953 ed ha presentato al mondo Ed Noon, investigatore privato. Negli anni successivi, Avallone ha scritto oltre tre dozzine di romanzi con protagonista Ed Noon, con il volume finale, "Since Noon Yesterday", rimasto inedito fino al 2005. Oltre al suo lavoro di autore, Avallone ha anche ricoperto la carica di editore della newsletter dei Mystery Writers of America dal 1962 al 1965.
