William Greenleaf è un autore affermato degli Stati Uniti, noto per i suoi lavori nei generi di fantascienza e saggistica. Ha anche acquisito riconoscimenti per la ghostwriting di numerosi romanzi attraverso vari generi. Prima della sua carriera come autore, Greenleaf ha lavorato nel mondo corporate come pianificatore strategico e finanziario.
La carriera di scrittore di Greenleaf è iniziata nel 1980 con la pubblicazione del suo primo libro, "Time Jumper".
